I umpired the finals day for the Sunshine Coast High School baseball competition today.
The boys (all year 8) played excellent baseball for players that have probably not played the game before, with the exception of one or two on each team.
There was a make-up game played first for one that was washed out earlier in the season and then the grand final. I was the plate umpire for the first game and my dad did the bases. We swapped over for the grand final.
I thought I called a pretty good game and dad was happy with the way I worked it.
